Blog Award..........
Thank you Linda for this award.
You must be a true Christmas lover to receive this award.
The person to whom you give the award must also be in love with Christmas.
You must link back to the person who gave you the award.
You must list 5 things that you love about Christmas.
If you can't limit it to 5 things, then keep going till you run out of space!
Pass the award along to as many people as you like. That can be 1 or 45; it's up to you. But, you must pass it on to at least one person in order to keep the Christmas cheer going!
Let your recipients know that you have tagged them by leaving them a comment.
My 5 things I love about Christmas:
1. That I get together with my family, extended family and friends and focus on being together.
2. That as we get older, we figure out it is the time together that means the most and presents take a back seat!
3. The look on my kids faces when they get to unwrap baby Jesus in our Nativity on Christmas morning to acknowledge his birth.....
4. On a commercial note...I love the glow my house house when the tree is lit, the candles burning and Christmas music in the background...just that magical spirit feeling going on....and going for a family ride to look at lights.
5. Definitely all the preparation of the wonderful food to share with my family and friends.
I tag Kim and April!

Look what I made today........
Growning up in New York, the one thing that I would love to have was Black & white cookies. Oh how delicious they were! I would LOVE the White part (vanilla) and my sister Rose would love the black part (chocolate).....well it brings back the fondest of memories for me.....a little bit ago I was strolling the isles of the $200 club, also known as Costco and stumbled upon this recipe book and opened the book righ to the page where there was a recipe for my beloved Black & White cookies....OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I MUST HAVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!! And so I bought it. And today I made them, and as I sat at my dining table with my two daughters and told them stories of yesturyear with the love affair I had with these cookies, I delighted in their faces as they expressed the same satisfaction of bite after bite!
Merry Christmas to all!!! I am happily sitting here knowing I have about a dozen or so more of these lovelies right in my kitchen! So for now I have a photo of them for you.............

Finally done..........
This is my Mom's Christmas gift...........
Okay so a little history....My grandparents had an arranged marriage.. Both born in Italy, my Grandfather was in the Italian AirForce..an Officier....after they were married my mother was born....4 years later her brother....at the time her brother was born they were stationed in Africa and he got sick with strep throat....my Papa wasn't a high enough ranking officier to get the penicillian Uncle Antonio needed so at 22 months he passed away. They all went back to Italy and then to here to America...New York. The land of opportunity. My Papa passed in 1970 and my Nana in 1975.... My mother has never had any really photographs in frames of her side....it was the only photo of my Uncle ever....Nana and Papa took his death so hard this photo was never out. When I stumbled upon it I took it, the photo of my mother (the little girl) and my grandparents took it to Archivers to reproduce the photo's then made this layout which is going into a 3D frame. I think she'll love it....What do you think?

Cute little Treat box
For the life of me I can't remember what blog I got the pattern for the box from! Seriously this getting older thing is for the birds! Do I ever get as sharp as I used to be? LOL!!!
Back to the box...isn't it a great little gift for a teacher? Friend? Co Worker? Mailman? Stocking stuffers? You could put candy,Pop corn, lip balms, tickets to a movie, endless list of things in this!!! anyhoo the instructions that I got were to use an
81/2 x 11 piece of cardstock (I used Kraft) and score it the following measurements.
Longside 3", 5",8", 10"
Shortside 1.5" , 5.5", 7.5"
How I wrapped my mind around that and actually came up with the box is beyond amazing! LOL!!! If your good with boxes you'll get it.
Okay so here is the photo. She had used a velcro dot to close the lid. I positioned the ribbon so the circle embellishment is held close by the bow. Anyhoo! Here ya go!
CTMH STampsets, Inks, papers used
Marvey Scalloped / Circle punches
SU Word Window punch
UPDATE! I found the blog!!! http://twisted-chick.blogspot.com/
She also posted the instructions in PDF so have fun!

What are you Reading????????
I had to get on and blog about an EXCELLENT book I am reading and close to the end....it is one that EVERYONE should read. Its Called "Soul Survivor" By James Ballou.
It is a compelling story of his upbringing to now. I am amazed how much he as a child endured and is here to tell his story and have such an amazing comfort in His Heavenly Father....It will tug at your heartstrings and make you proud of how he decided to make his life so different from what he knew as a boy to as a father himself.....The challenges and obsticals that could have tripped him up has made him the success he is today.....He has a beautiful family now and I have to say you MUST put this on your list.....
Where do you find it? Right here:
www.jamesballou.com
It will be the best money you ever spent on a book. In fact I am tempted to send it right on to Oprah...Amazing story.

Me and my beautiful family!!!
Me being blinded by the sun while my sister clicks away!!!!
My handsome DH with my sisters bunny fingers! LOL!!
My Crazy Sister!
The Hawk!! Okay so when my youngest brother was about 6 years old he made this very profound statement and today we STILL tease him about it so since it is about a Hawk here it goes!!! (Love you Sam!) "A Hawk is bigger then an Eagle, But an Eagle is a little bit bigger!"
